Lululemon Your Dental Office!

Have you heard of a company called Lululemon Athletica? They sell really cool yoga apparel and they are springing up in malls and urban areas mainly in big cities right now. If you are in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Boca Raton, Chicago, Toronto, chances are you have seen a Lululemon. It’s kind of strange how they REALLY started becoming popular during one of the worst financial crises we have experienced in our lives. And please understand, this ain’t no dollar store. A t-shirt will cost you a cool $64 and that’s just the start.

Lululemon does it right. They have very a friendly, beautiful, knowledgeable staff. There is ALWAYS someone available to help you and make it seem as though they are your best friend. And the store is always crowded. It is the Apple Store of yoga clothing!

Oh, and did we tell you that their stock keeps going up and up and up with no end in sight? This is NOT meant to be financial advice, but if you get a second, check out LULU (their ticker symbol) and see if this is a company that you think is good!

The point here is that even during really bad financial times, many people still want to be associated with winners (Lululemon Athletica and Apple Computers are just two examples) and are willing to pay for that association.

How do you get YOUR dental office to be the Lululemon or Apple Store of your community? We don’t necessarily mean high fees. We mean how do you get your office to be THE DENTAL OFFICE that everyone is talking about and visiting? The office that people cannot get enough of!

One way to accomplish this is through social media. It’s perhaps the quickest most predictable way! We have tons of offices that are doing it right now as we speak! It works!

It’s kind of funny but some still do not “get it.” We recently had a doc that called our office and asked how much our two day intense hands on social media course would cost him. When he was told the tuition, the words that came out of his mouth were “What are you, (expletive) crazy?” Then he hung up!

Problem was, he had no idea what he would get out of it. Maybe it was our fault for not explaining! He probably was not familiar with Lululemon or Apple either!
On the other hand, we get email and comments practically every day from past attendees letting us know how our course has helped their practice more than anything else they have ever done in dentistry. Here is one we got a couple of days ago:
