One of the most common questions!

November 17th, 2011

One of the most common questions we are still asked is “Do I need to get my patient’s permission if I use their image in any way such as in a video that I post on my website?”

The answer is yes! It is always better to proactively get permission from someone to use their likeness so it doesn’t come back to “bite” you later! We make this very easy with our “All Media Release” form on our website. It’s totally free, and although we are not giving legal advice (check with your own attorney), this simple form should do the trick. You may download it at http://www.madow.com/forms-and-letters/media-release/. Fill it out and ask your patient to sign it. Then scan it or file it away where it can be retreived at a later date should you need it.

By the way, when you go to our website, www.madow.com, please feel free to check out all of the forms and letters that we make available to you for free. And we are always adding to our library. So if you have an idea of a form or letter that you would like us to develop, please let us know!
