Don’t Stress Out Your Patients

Here’s a very simple yet valuable thought for today. When people are stressed, they act differently – and not in a good way. In the dental office we often see people at their worst. So don’t stress out your patients. Give them a break. Be as kind as you possibly can, and for the real grouches, be even kinder!

Also remember that using dental terminology when talking to patients about needed treatment stresses them out even more!! Patients who are stressed out don’t come back, they don’t refer others, they don’t say “yes” to treatment recommendations, and they are more likely to cancel or no-show.

Starting with today and from now on, let’s treat every single patient with as much kindness as we possibly can. And don’t stress them out!!
