Note from Rich and Dave: There has been so much activity in “The Corner” lately that we haven’t yet published Betty Hayden’s March Management Ideas. Sorry!!
But since we are big believers in “better late than never” – here you go!
Management Tips for March
Hi everyone! Lead coach Betty Hayden here, reminding you that the month of March is your final opportunity to make your first quarter of 2018 a huge success!
First of all, don’t forget that September (six months from now) is a month when many practices struggle. Be sure to pre-appoint your March hygiene patients for their 6 month continuing care appointments. (If this isn’t already being done with your hygiene patients, make it your goal to schedule their next appointment while they are there in the office.)
Today, I am sharing some dental practice management tips and ideas that you can use in your office during the month of March.
Practice Management Ideas –
March is Employee Spirit Month – Looking to boost the employee spirit in your office? Try these ideas:
• Have some FUN! – Games, contests, friendly competitions, and food are all great ways to have more fun at the office.
• Commendation – Commend a fellow team member when you catch them doing something “right”. Commendation boosts morale.
• Huddle Up – The morning meeting is essential for a successful day. If you tried in the past to have a morning huddle and it didn’t work out… try again! We can help you with this.
• Continuing Education – Continuing education, not just for the providers but for the entire team is a wonderful way to ensure practice growth. Not to mention, it’s a great team-building experience, one that will give you a happier and motivated team. In fact, have you heard about our amazing Deeper Than Dentistry Seminars? They’re perfect to improve the spirit of your office. We have one coming up on Friday March 23rd. You still have time to get there!
Check it out here: www.deeperthandentistry.com. I’ll be there too!!
Dental Assistants Recognition Week was March 4th – 10th, and even if you missed it, it is not too late to take some time to celebrate your hard-working dental assistants.
National Cleaning Week – 25th – 31st : This is a great opportunity to encourage your hygiene patients to schedule their Spring “Cleaning” Appointment.
While you may have technically missed National Write A Letter of Appreciation Week (it was earlier this month), it still is in the month of March. It’s never too late to send appreciation cards to your favorite loyal patients, your favorite referring doctors and your favorite local businesses.
And there is still time for these social media post ideas to improve engagement:
Lips Appreciation Day: 16th
Spinach Day: 26th
There you have it… several ideas to assist you in ending your first quarter successfully! And Rich and Dave have promised me that they won’t be late in posting the April ideas on time! So I will see you soon. In the meantime, I cannot tell you how fantastic and fulfilling it is to work with so many fantastic practices across the country. We can help your practice as well….
